Deborah Snell CV

Deborah Snell has an MA and BA Degree in Illustration and Print Design. She makes drawings, prints, illustrations, and models for installations, projections and music videos and enjoys working in graphite, pastel and ink, mono printing and etching. She loves to take on a character and see the world through their eyes, discovering new perspectives and intriguing moments.


Commissions/clients have included Hexham Book Festival, Planetarium at Life Science Centre, World Transplant Games, NGI, Enchanted Parks, Northern Print and the Late Shows. Deborah collaborated with Multiminded Digital to produce a music video for Hector Gannet which recently premiered at Sage Gateshead.  


To mark the 400th Anniversary of Shakespeare’s Folio’s first publication, Deborah re-imagined classics, such as As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet and Midsummer Night’s Dream. She collaborated with Hole Editions to produce a series of lithograph prints and sculptures for Spin Me a Yarn exhibition alongside David Hockney and Ellie Clewlow at Gallagher and Turner Gallery.
